That's all, folks! The 2005 Blogathon is now officially over. I want to give a thank you to my husband, who has put up with me doing this for three years (not quite in a row, since the official 'thon was on hiatus last year) and my son for doing his best to understand why Mommy isn't playing with him. Additionally, thanks to Miranda and Hopeless from The Wardens - Miranda for taking time to comment in my blog, and Hopeless for staying up with my until I couldn't play for another second more at about 5 this morning, lest I fall asleep. Thanks to my whole guild for keeping me entertained last night.

This year, we raised $40 to go to Modest Needs. Donations were made by Nicolas, Malory, Keith, June, Kat and Pink, and thank you all for your generosity.

If you're just now stumbling on this blog and didn't get the chance to donate during the actual 'thon, fear not! Just send yourself over to http://www.blogathon.org/blogathon.php?campaign&id=154 and make a pledge - you'll be able to for 2 days after the blogathon is over. All money donated goes to Modest Needs to help others out.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, this will be my last Blogathon. As tired as I am, I still had fun and I don't want to go out hating the experience. What a wonderful event this has been, and what a fun way to end! And hopefully, some younger friends who were exposed to this for the first time this year will take up the challenge in years to come. I hope so, anyway.

And now, farewell. I am off to bed.

Here we see a barred gate in Stormwind city. The blue you see within the bars swirls inward in a whirlpool fashion in-game. This is the sort of thing you see at the openig of an instance, but no one knows what this particular gate is for. The bars prevent you from coming through.

Well, the next post will be the last one. 30 seconds after that, I guarantee I will be in bed and asleep. The boy is awake and watching television, the husband is asleep and watching the insides of his eyelids. It's fully light outside, and it looks like it's going to be a pleasant day! Not that I'm going to notice. Because I will be asleep.

Well. I must admit that this is not a screenshot I took this evening. In fact, it's a few months old. But it does show an interesting place in the game, the Dark Portals in Desolace. Presumeably, through these portals came all manner of evil badguys from another world. And you'll have to forgive me because I don't know any more Warcraft lore than that! I liked it because of the purple. It matches. :-)

I have come to a decision.

Every year that I've done this, I've been more exhausted than the last. This year, although I think I will manage to finish unlike the last time, I am so tired it almost hurts. Given that I rested up ahead of time, haven't loaded up on junk throughout the 'thon and so on, I can only come to one conclusion.

I'm getting old.

Too old for this kind of thing, anyway. Or perhaps too busy with life, I don't know. The point is, I'm worn and want nothing but sleep. I'm not giving up on this, but I don't think I'll do it again next year. After 3 years of blogathonning, I am done.

I'll bet Paul will be pretty happy about it, since the blogathon inevitably means 2 days or more of me going mia - the day of the 'thon, and the day or more it takes me to recover. I think I'm going to finish without falling asleep this year. I hope I do. That'd be a great way to go out, and a fun theme to go out on.

I am so freaking tired.

It's getting light outside, and the chances are that the boy will wake up sometime in the next 30 minutes or so. I really want to go lay down with my husband for a bit, but I don't dare.

Here's an interesting one. Again, in Darnassus, the Ancient Protector.

Who else here thinks he looks an awful lot like Treebeard with purple leaf dye?? Anybody?

I have logged out of WoW for the evening. I know, I'm several hours shy of the full 24, and I'm not going to stop blogging, but my back is killing me and I was running out of things to do that didn't take more then 20 minutes at a time. So, in lieu of anything better at this moment, I am surfing the blog ring and watching/listening to Rocketship XM again. Joel and the Bots are currently humming "The Star-Spangled Banner". :-)

Here we are again in Darnassus looking at the vendor of riding cats. I just like the way the cats look. :-) The cats with the jewels are higher level - higher than I can purchase right now. 8 more levels, and a whole lotta gold!

No screen shot right now. At the moment, I am fighting zombies with a guildmate in the Western Plaguelands. It's going well, but I'm having some trouble concentrating. :-)

I'm tired enough that I'm not playing the game well at this point. To stay awake,I've got another MST3K on. This one looks really horrible, something about merlin. All I know is, that guy has one heck of a mullet.
